About the Program
Haruki Athletics is offering an 8-week performance conditioning course built to develop rotational strength, stability, and explosive power. These are the exact qualities that transfer directly to martial arts and other rotational sports such as baseball, softball, wrestling, and more.
This is not a high-intensity fitness class. It is a structured performance program designed to make athletes move better, faster, and safer.
This program is led by Coach Nathaniel Beers, a former collegiate pitcher at Kansas Wesleyan University and two-time conference champion. With a degree in Health Science, NCSF personal training certificate, and years of experience as both an athlete and coach, Coach Beers brings evidence-based performance training into every session.
Each class will primarily use the French Contrast Method, a proven training approach used by high-level athletes to build explosive power efficiently. This method pairs strength movements with speed and power exercises to train the body to produce force quickly, which is essential for striking, cutting, jumping, and rapid direction changes.
This session will focus on jumping and all related movements. Week one will focus on movement quality and safety. Athletes will learn how to jump, land, cut, and rotate with proper mechanics before intensity is increased. These fast-twitch movements are critical for performance, but when taught or performed incorrectly, they are also the most common source of injury. Our priority is building athletes who move well first and then fast and powerfully.
Haruki Athletics is designed for athletes who want training that carries over to the mat. The field and competition. Not just a workout, but a system.
